Technically I'd give it 3.5 stars. The fajita enchiladas were good and the queso chip was good. The queso takeout for some reason tasted like cheese whiz and the tortilla chips tasted too much like corn. I'd go back. I believe I just hot a bad batch of the queso.

Great Mexican food in a most unlikely place, reminds me of true Mexican food from mexico.

The salsa is to die for! The chunks of onion in the salsa is so goood!!! El Tios has always been my favorite Mexican Restaurant. The food is always good, and the service is usually pretty good. My favorite foods are the fajitas, the plablano pepper stuffed with chicken, the shrimp quesadillas, and the papa nachos.

Hands down, some of the best texmex food I've ever had. Plentiful plates that usually turn into two meals for my husband and I. One of the best kept secrets of deep east Texas.

This is a great family restaurant. Weather it be for a special occasion or just dinner with the family. I absolutely love their chips and salsa. You can go to the drive thru anytime they're open and get chips and salsa to go. Love it

Great Tex-Mex food

The food is taste and fresh. The staffs are so welcoming and helpful. the location is convenient and has parking spots. The dining halls are spacious with comfortable dining Tables. The price is fair and they have over 55 different foods in the menu. They have many options for drinks and desserts too. They also have vegetarian options in the menu. The foods are greatly of TexMex style and I liked it.

We have been coming here for awhile and it seems that after reopening the food is not the same. We ordered fajitas for two and the meat that came out was very bland and not grilled. Looks like they just took it out of a hot box and put on a hot plate. Peppers not cooked at all just raw.

I have spent many years in South Texas and need my Mexican Food fix from time to time. My parents live in the area and this is a great place to get your fix if you need some good fresh Mexican Food. The staff is prompt and the prices are good. Plenty of parking and the hours go with the small town Texas feel.

I love El Tio's salsa, it's not that cold junk you get at some places. My personal favorite is a #9 mixed Fajitas with bacon, you better be hungry because it's enough for two.And for something totally different, try a order of rice with queso on it.

Good food, reason enough? They also have large portions, so you won't be going home hungry. If I have one complaint, it would be that the taco meat isn't drained enough of grease and it causes the taco shell to become soggy. For good food at a good price try El Tios for your Mexican craving.

The food was absolutely incredible. The wait staff was very attentive. Hands down the best Mexican food I've eaten in a long time. Well worth the drive. I thoroughly enjoyed my anniversary lunch.
